What’s a romance without a corpse?

Those Bronte sister really liked writing about terrible dudes, imaginary readers. Sometimes I wonder if stories like Wuthering Heights or Jane Eyre are meant to read more as horror, but I don’t think you’d get a consistent opinion out of the experts.
