Anansi has actually been in the comic once already, imaginary readers! Kinda! I never had to design him until now, though. I was going for “pretty much looks like a spider, but isn’t super creepy.” I think he came out pretty okay!
Anansi is a great character because he is a spider, not a spider, a god, not a god, a murderer, a villain, a hero, wise, foolish, and also none of those things. He’s complex! Complexity is interesting.
