Have you heard of carcinisation, imaginary readers? It’s the evolutionary phenomenon of noncrab entities tending to turn into crabs. Turns out crabs are just a useful body type, which leads to a lot of crabs running around that technically aren’t related at all. Weirder, to me, is the fact that many trees aren’t related. Trees are just a useful body type that different plants evolved independently.
